What the integration does

Every Franklin card transaction is matched to its receipt, given a category and the right VAT code, and held for your approval. Once approved it lands in e-conomic as a finished entry with the document attached. Nothing posts before you or your bookkeeper says so. Marketing receipts from Meta, Google, TikTok and Pinterest are fetched automatically on the Essential plan, so the invoices that usually go missing are the ones you never have to think about.

How to connect

About two minutes, and you only do it once. You will need admin access in both Franklin and e-conomic.

  1. Open Settings in Franklin, go to Integrations and choose e-conomic.

  2. Log in to e-conomic when the window opens and approve the connection. Nothing to install, no API key to generate.

  3. Choose your accounts: which ledger account card spend lands on, and which account cashback goes to. If in doubt, this is the one question worth asking your bookkeeper.

  4. Approve a first entry to confirm it lands where you expect. From then on it is one click.

What gets synced

  • The transaction: date, amount, currency and merchant

  • The receipt or invoice, attached to the entry as a document

  • The category, mapped to your own chart of accounts rather than a generic one

  • The VAT code, including the EU and non-EU distinction

  • Cashback, posted to the account you choose

Sending this to your bookkeeper

"We have moved our card spend to Franklin. Entries arrive in e-conomic with receipts attached and VAT coded, and nothing posts without approval. You get free access with a review view, so you can check entries instead of typing them."

Good to know

  • Accountant access is free, on every plan.

  • Every fetch, match and approval is logged, so the audit trail holds up under Bogføringsloven.

  • Your data stays in the EU and is never used to train models.

  • Disconnecting is one click, and everything already posted stays in e-conomic.
